New basic features provided:
- ability to set its own Caller ID to be identified by other SIP devices.
- Caller ID support for incoming calls, on ringing and on established connections
- call duration when call ends
- four online statuses - Available, Away, Auto-answer and Auto-Voicemail
- ability to handle both IPs and domain names for servers
- Windows system-event log messages for significant events
New UI features provided:
- integrated display to provide user a quick access and useful information:
- integrated menu bar
- the online status field (bottom right) when clicked toggle between the four statuses
- the connection field( top right) when clicked shows a menu with available connections
- phone line's status indicators (1,2,3) in the bottom left, showing free/in use/active status.
- hold (H), mute (M), record(R) status indicators for the active line
- tunnel status indicator (TNL)
- numbers to dial can be pasted from clipboard directly on the phone using CTRL+V
- by right-clicking the display, a menu containing dialed numbers will be shown. When selected, they will be directly dialed.
- "+" key expands to "00" when a dial number is typed or pasted.
- language translation with direct online support for updates
- improved, user-friendly debug messages
- tray-icon menu allows a quick toggle, alongside available connection, of the online status
- tray-icon tooltip shows active connection, line status and phone online status
Significant issues solved:
- tunnel connection problem due to disabled but non-empty "Local IP of remote PBX" field
- "multi-echo" audio connection problem
- "not available" problem for available called extensions
- intermitent audio issues between succesive calls
- "audio mix" problem on the active line with sound of the held/on-hold lines
Successfuly tested on 64-bit Vista using direct/tunneled, internet/intranet connections to remote 3CX V7 PBXs.
