we are currently using Hot Desking in 3CX and are looking for a way to make switching users on a shared desk phone much faster and simpler.
We have 3CX, v20 Verison running.
Our scenario is the following:
Right now the normal workflow is:
This works, but for our use case it is a bit slow.
What we would like to achieve is something like this on the phone:
Button 1 → Login user 201
Button 2 → Login user 202
Button 3 → Login user 203
Button 4 → Logout
Ideally this would work via:
The goal would be one-button switching between the three users, without manually entering the extension every time.
Questions:
Any ideas or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

- One physical desk phone (e.g. Yealink)
- Used by 3 specific users only (for example extensions 201, 202 and 203)
- The phone is configured as a Hotdesk phone

- Press login
- Enter extension
- Enter voicemail PIN

- BLF / DSS key
- Speed Dial
- or possibly via the 3CX API

- Can Hotdesk login be triggered via API?
- Is there any way to assign fixed Speed Dial / BLF login buttons to a Hotdesk phone?
- Has anyone implemented something similar?
