Block WAN requests is ON. Turn it off?

Hey,

I tried to connect my fax via cisco phone adapter (which worked fine with my old elastix 2.5 setup).

I created a faxnumber (69) and configured the adapter.

Now my dashboard told me, that it has been rejected:
SIP request (REGISTER) from {my ip adress} was rejected. Reason: Block WAN requests is ON.

Note: My IP is a public-ip and not 10.x.x.x or 192.0.x.x stuff.

I had that problem also with the normal extension, but there helped turning off the option "Disallow use of extension outside the lan".

But on the fax-extensions are no options for that.

Anyone an Idea for me please?

Hallo bytebandito,

Bitte beachte hierfür dass ein Cisco Gateway von der 3CX nicht unterstützt wird. Ebenso wenn du ein Analoges Fax benutzen möchtest, muss das Fax und das Gateway lokal zu der Anlage stehen.
In deinem Fall kannst du vielleicht probieren, auch für das Fax eine normale Nebenstelle erstellen und das Häkchen von Anmeldung außerhalb des LANs nicht zulassen rausnehmen. Ebenso schau bitte über die IP Sperrliste ob die IP gesperrt wurde.
